Dà Mhìle Sells Most Expensive Cask Of Organic Whisky In History

Did you know that we commissioned the first organic whisky of the modern era? Way back in 1992 our founder John Savage-Onstwedder commissioned the first organic whisky to be made at Springbank Distillery in Scotland.

One of those historic casks, which was dubbed a "Superstar whisky" in Jim Murray's 'Whisky Bible' was just auctioned off for a record breaking £50,300, making it the most expensive organic whisky ever sold!

Here's the Tivy-side Advertiser's coverage of our great news.

Dà Mhìle Organic Single Malt Whisky

We just bottled our penultimate cask of the historic Dà Mhìle organic single malt whisky which was distilled at Loch Lomond Distillery in the year 2000. This whisky has been aging in sherry hogsheads for 15 years, here are our tasting notes:

Nose: Liquorice, almonds, demerara wrapped in salted sea mist.
Taste: Imagine freshly baked sourdough with a slight layer of salted butter. Followed by spice and light liquorice.
Finish: This is wonderful - roast coffee and dark chocolate – silky smooth texture, stretching beyond a woody horizon.

There are only 315 bottles for worldwide distribution so we are limiting each sale to a maximum of 2 bottles.

We are about to bottle our last cask of the historic Dà Mhìle organic single grain whisky which was distilled at Loch Lomond Distillery in the year 2000. This whisky has been aging in ex-bourbon barrels for 15 years and has taken on a warm, golden, caramel colour. The nose reveals a gentle sweetness and subtle vanilla. And it has beautifully chewy mouthfeel with vanilla and butter tones. A wonderful balance.

There are only 378 bottles for worldwide distribution so we are limiting each sale to a maximum of 2 bottles. Once these bottles are sold they will be gone forever so get your's soon.
