Dà Mhìle Whisky sets another world record!

Our 24 year old cask of organic Springbank whisky has achieved a new world record price of £75,000, making it the most expensive cask of whisky ever sold!

Here's what  our founder John Savage-Onstwedder had to say: “When this historic whisky was bottled in late 1999 to celebrate the new millennium, I predicted that one day DA MHILE could become the most expensive whisky in the world, but I had never imagined that this would happen in my lifetime. I had imagined that perhaps as a 40 or 50-year- old it would be the most expensive whisky to be sold in a bottle, but to become the most expensive organic whisky cask ever sold was completely beyond my expectations. My prediction of it one day becoming the most expensive whisky in a bottle has now come one step nearer and I am absolutely convinced that if my son John-James, the distillery manager at Dà Mhìle, lets one ofthese casks mature long enough then it will one day be the most expensive whisky in the world – in a bottle too.”

Our future is looking bright as our whisky is only going to get better with age and we're bottling our first batch of Welsh whisky this year!

Dà Mhìle Seaweed Martini featured in BuzzFeed!

BuzzFeed included the Dà Mhìle Seaweed Martini on its list of Healthy Drinks Your Bartender Won't Hate You For Ordering!

“This is actually a Seaweed Martini (an added bonus for lots of vitamins) stirred with a dash of tonic water (which has quinine in it, so you’ll be protected against malaria too). I have this as a hangover cure, with two small Red Snapper shots (a gin-based Bloody Mary)… One to have first, then one to finish.

“A martini just on its own is still just as good a low-calorie, low-sugar option, and you can order it at any bar without shame.”

– David Coveney, bartender at Aperitivo at the Oliver Conquest, London

Dà Mhìle Organic Single Malt Whisky

We just bottled our penultimate cask of the historic Dà Mhìle organic single malt whisky which was distilled at Loch Lomond Distillery in the year 2000. This whisky has been aging in sherry hogsheads for 15 years, here are our tasting notes:

Nose: Liquorice, almonds, demerara wrapped in salted sea mist.
Taste: Imagine freshly baked sourdough with a slight layer of salted butter. Followed by spice and light liquorice.
Finish: This is wonderful - roast coffee and dark chocolate – silky smooth texture, stretching beyond a woody horizon.

There are only 315 bottles for worldwide distribution so we are limiting each sale to a maximum of 2 bottles.

We are about to bottle our last cask of the historic Dà Mhìle organic single grain whisky which was distilled at Loch Lomond Distillery in the year 2000. This whisky has been aging in ex-bourbon barrels for 15 years and has taken on a warm, golden, caramel colour. The nose reveals a gentle sweetness and subtle vanilla. And it has beautifully chewy mouthfeel with vanilla and butter tones. A wonderful balance.

There are only 378 bottles for worldwide distribution so we are limiting each sale to a maximum of 2 bottles. Once these bottles are sold they will be gone forever so get your's soon.
