“Lost and Found” Whisky
57.3% ABV (limited edition of 87 bottles/nifer cyfyngedig o 87 potel)
Aged for 20 years in a first fill sherry cask. This single cask bottling of our 1992 Springbank happens to be the final 60 litres of spirit remaining in barrel 237, after bottling the ‘Newborn’ edition 5 years earlier. The additional ageing has amplified the already deep flavour and dark colour.
This edition was given its name when the bottling company in Scotland realised they had not completely emptied the barrel used for the ‘Newborn’ years before. These 60 litres were assumed to have been ‘lost’ in storage to “the angels share”, but we were thankful they were ‘found’ as the whisky is phenomenal.
