The first ever bottling of Dà Mhìle whisky took place in 1999 and is considered the world-first organic whisky. Distilled in 1992 by Springbank, and bottled for the Millennium, this 7-year-old whisky was matured in first and second fill-sherry barrels.
At the time 3 variations were bottled:
1000 bottles at cask strength (700ml) sold out.
1000 bottles at 46% abv (700ml)
1000 bottles at 46% abv (750ml)
Few of these bottles remain from the original bottling and are highly sought after.
